I’m an award-winning freelance writer, journalist and editor based in Berlin, Germany. I’ve written for publications including Grazia, The Debrief, Refinery29, The Herald and Sunday HeraldThe Local Germany and Deutsche Welle. I have also contributed to BBC Radio Scotland.

I’m also a CELTA qualified English teacher and also do copywriting, editing and proofreading for clients.

I previously worked as a feature writer, reporter and news and content editor at the Evening Express in Aberdeen, and as a reporter and columnist at the Evening Times, Herald and Sunday Herald newspapers in Glasgow.

As part of the International Journalists Programme (IJP) , I worked as a foreign correspondent at Die Welt/N24 in Berlin.

I specialise in human interest stories. I have covered social affairs, gender issues, including violence against women, politics, environmental and lifestyle stories. I have written extensively about the refugee crisis. I am also interested in culture, travel and food.
